À faibles distances de travail (LWD), il reproduit l'effet d'un éclairage dôme traditionnel, tandis qu'à grands LWD, il se comporte de manière similaire à l'éclairage coaxial — offrant une flexibilité exceptionnelle pour une large gamme de tâches d'inspection.
